Hot Hole Snack Recipe

The hot hole snack is probably one of the most popular party and bar recipes! It looks like a simple minced meat sandwich, but if you put in the right ingredients and seasoning, it becomes an amazing and very tasty snack!

Continue here at TudoReceitas to learn how to make bread with ground beef for birthdays, June Parties, meeting friends and more! Below I share the easy step-by-step photos of this quick snack recipe with some tips and suggestions for alternative preparation, to suit all tastes!

Ingredients for making Hot Hole Snack:

 500 grams of ground beef

 6 french buns

 1 box of tomato sauce

 1 medium onion

 1 clove of garlic

 ½ leeks

3 tablespoons of oil or olive oil

 1 bay leaf (optional)

½ glass of dry white wine

 1 teaspoon of oregano

1 teaspoon of paprika or sweet paprika

1 teaspoon of salt (shallow spoon)

 ½ teaspoon of pepper sauce

 ½ teaspoon of cumin

 black pepper to taste

How to Make Hot Hole Snack:

Start by peeling the onion and garlic and chopping finely, as in the photo. Also finely chop the leeks.

Tip: If you want, you can add chopped tomatoes and peppers to these seasonings, preferably without the seeds.

Season the minced meat with the oregano, paprika or sweet paprika, cumin, pepper sauce and black pepper (only leave the salt for last). Mix well with your hands and set aside.

Tip: We recommend using duckling or ground beef.

Place the onion and leeks over medium-low heat in a large pan with the oil or olive oil. Mix and simmer until soft. Then add the minced garlic, mix and leave for another minute or until it starts to brown.

Tip: When I prepare braised ground beef I also like to put a bay leaf in the onion stew, but this is an optional ingredient.

Add the meat and keep stirring very well with the spoon, to break up all the pieces and mix with the stir-fry.

When the meat is all braised (it will be dry and with the color of done), as in the photo, add the tomato sauce and salt and mix well.

Tip: At this point you can also add other ingredients such as peas, corn, boiled and chopped eggs, grated cheese, olives, etc.

Add the wine to balance the flavor of the tomato sauce and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Taste the meat, if necessary match the flavor with salt and turn off the heat.

Take the buns, cut off the top and, with the help of a small spoon, push the crumb to the bottom (this is important to prevent the gravy from the ground beef from running underneath).

Fill each loaf with the minced meat sauce and, if desired, add grated cheese, straw potatoes, oregano, mayonnaise, among other ingredients of your choice. Serve this hot ground beef snack and good appetite! You may be interested to read about the mango lassi recipe blogpost/ basil mayonnaise recipe/ polenta gnocchi recipe/ golden honey recipe/ Moroccan lentil salad recipe.
